My favorite memory of Maverick
Well…....since he’s my younger brother I have LOTS of favorite memories of him so it’s kind of hard to narrow it down to just one. I have no intention of sharing memories that would embarrass him though….(so you can relax now when you read this Maverick)
There is a 15 year age differance between us so I was a teenager when he was really little and moved out when he was still pretty young. When he was really small though we used to take him to these kid’s play places that had ball pits and tunnels and tubes you climb through and rope ladders and huge walls and chutes you slide through. Well he used to want me to go with him. Now I’m not tall(only 5’4”) but compared to a herd of five year olds I’m a giant. At first I would try to encourage him to go without me but he was determined and wanted me to climb and crawl and slide and jump into the ball pit with him so I did. After that every place we went that had one of those things we crawled through as a team.
Let me tell you I was the only 20 year old I knew with scuffed up knees,elbows and carpet burn. I had a blast though and to be honest I wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s nice to have those memories that are just “ours”. I still smile every time I think of them.
